2018 fee covers

• key note address from leading literary agent, Sarah Davies of The Greenhouse Literary Agency
• four intensive workshop sessions covering beginnings, plot, character and revision, with a maximum of eight writers per group
• an in-depth one-on-one, examining your work
• two presentations of practical tips to manage your author life
• an in depth look at what happens at an acquisition meeting
• a multi-agent panel with leading UK literary agents, including time for networking
• a ‘practice your pitch’ workshop
• two nights in an inspiring 14^th century mansion
• either a private or a shared bathroom, depending on fee level
• all of your meals – the venue specialise in exceptional vegetarian cuisine that is all grown and prepared on site. If you would like a meat option or have other special dietary requirements there is a small additional charge
• towels and linens
• a take-home workbook based on the course
• private Facebook group for you and your fellow attendees to support each other, previous Facebook groups are still active, years later

• Each application will be reviewed and accepted on a first-come, first-served basis
• We do acknowledge all applications, so if you don’t hear from us, please follow up
• You’ll wait no longer than two weeks for a response, and it may be much faster
• The retreat focuses on fiction from early readers through to Young Adult fiction – no picture books

HOW TO APPLY

• Applicants are asked to submit via email an application, synopsis, cover letter and the first 4,000 words of their novel. Download the Book Bound Application And Terms 2018
• This retreat is for writers who have mastered the basics and are ready to take their writing to the next level

PRICING

• £450 for a shared bedroom with one other person and a shared bathroom with no more than two other people
• £550 per person for a private bedroom with a shared bathroom with no more than two others
• £600 per person for a private bedroom and bathroom (not necessarily en suite)

Please note that Book Bound does not have any financial relationship with agents or publishers with regard to writers. Our programme is a one-off fee.

• Oxon Hoath is a 600-year-old country estate
• Set in 73 acres in beautiful rural Kent
• Each of the recently renovated 28 bedrooms have their own character

• Tonbridge is the nearest rail station – a mere 45 minutes out of London
• The village is an hour’s drive from central London, just off the A26
